NBA draft likely to finally separate Lopez twins

Brook Lopez is projected as a top-10 pick, and has worked out with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Seattle SuperSonics, who pick third and fourth, respectively. Known as the better scorer, he averaged 19 points and eight rebounds last season and was named an Associated Press third-team All-American. He scored at least 30 points in four games and had nine double-doubles, but wants to demonstrate more versatility in the NBA.

Chicago Bulls waive guard JamesOn Curry

Curry, a former Oklahoma State standout, was arrested in January and pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and urinating in public.

Curry spent most of last season in the NBA’s Developmental League.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Curry was the team’s second-round pick in the 2007 NBA draft.

Curry was suspended for one game July 10 by the NBA after he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors in Idaho.

Bynum averaged 11.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists in the Las Vegas Summer League. The 6-foot, 185-pound guard played last season for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli League and averaged 10.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

Bynum was named 2005-06 NBA Development League rookie of the year after averaging a league-best 24 points per game with the Roanoke Dazzle. He played 15 games with the Golden State Warriors that season, averaging 3.6 points and 1.3 assists per
