NEW YORK (AP) -Two former classmates of disgraced referee Tim Donaghy will spend over a year in prison for their roles in the betting scandal that rocked the NBA.

Donaghy, a resident of Bradenton, Fla., will be sentenced on July 29. He pleaded guilty last year to charges he conspired to engage in wire fraud and transmitted betting information through interstate commerce.

The Belmont Stakes, with 13.1 million viewers, was the most-watched program thus far in June besides the NBA finals.

NEW YORK (AP) -The NBA finals games were the six highest-rated and most-watched programs so far in June, the first time that has happened in seven years.

Game 5, two nights earlier, averaged 17.4 million viewers.
